KAMPALA – A joint military and police force have on Thursday afternoon raided a top city building Mutaasa Kafeero plaza.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Mr. Patrick Onyango says there will a press briefing at CPS Kampala once the operation is concluded.
“We cannot disclose the purpose of the operation as of now,” Mr. Onyango said.
According to sources, the operation has been mounted to look for stolen phones, most of which are picked by Kampala’s gangs from residents off the streets or during night break-ins.
At the moment, no one is allowed to leave the building as they conduct their search operation.
