KAMPALA — The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) was one of the top winners at the Digital Impact Africa Awards 2019 on Friday night after grabbing three awards.

The annual Digital Impact Awards Africa, organised by HiPipo are aimed at recognizing and rewarding individuals and organisations across Africa that are spearheading the use of digital tools to lead the continental economic transformation

NWSC won the Best Digital Customer Service, Best Digital Customer Experience (Utilies) and Best E-Service/E-Commerce (Silver) awards at the event held at the Mestil Hotel in Kampala.

Mr. Inocent Kawooya, the CEO of HiPipo Limited, said the awards are meant to recognise companies that are changing the face of financial Service delivery by using technological and digital innovation.

“This year’s awards are held under the theme “include everyone.” Everyone means the young, the old, the rural, educated and non-educated. Digital technology is one way through which everyone can be reached and included” he said
