MBUYA – The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen David Muhoozi has on Friday 6 hosted corporates, Acholi sub-region political leaders and UPDF Generals to a luncheon at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs headquarters, Mbuya.

The luncheon was to appreciate the work and support that distinguished 2019 Tarehe Sita as the best organized and supported.

The Permanent Secretary Ms Rosette Byengoma who represented the Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs thanked the CDF for thinking of appreciating all those that worked during the organization of Tarehe sita.

She further thanked the defence organising committee for a very successful and colorful event.

She particularly singled out the Engineers Brigade for delivering the projects that were promised to the people of the region.

The Permanent Secretary mobilized the guests for next years’ Tarehe Sita celebrations and called upon the members to participate even more.

In his remarks, the CDF General David Muhoozi informed the guests that UPDF needs partners from the population and the corporate world and therefore the luncheon was organized to thank everyone, more so the organizing committee.

He lauded the great role played by individuals such as Hon Beatrice Anywar the MP Kitgum Municipality and Hon Makmot from Agago District who also attended the function.

“You did us proud and supported a right cause making it a colorful event that met its desired purpose” said Gen Muhoozi.
