Four foreign nationals perish in city accident

KAMPALA – Four foreign nationals on Sunday afternoon perished in an accident on Yusuf Lule Road in Kampala City.

The driver of the vehicle Toyota Alphard series, registration number UBA 111E, is said to have lost control and the vehicle swerved off the road down to golf course killing all its occupants after knocking a tree.

The deceased who died on spot were workers of Hema Beverages Ltd. They have been identified as Kalakada Dileep, 22, an Indian national also the driver of the motor vehicle. The others, all Chinese nationals, are XU XIANG SHENG, 29 , WEI YA WEI, 28, and SU WEI, 35

Bodies have been taken to Mulago hospital for postmortem and will later be handed over to the respective embassies to carry on with burial arrangements.

The wreckage of the vehicle was transported to Wandegeya Police Station as investigations into the matter continue.

More details as to what exactly caused the accident will be availed.
