KAMPALA – Catherine Ajambo a finalist at Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) passed on Friday 10, hours after her last paper.
Ajambo was a student of Bachelor of Social Development and Counselling in her final year who passed on at around 9pm from her home.
The University leadership has in statement confirmed the development.
“Dear friends, we have learnt with shock the sudden death of Catherine Ajambo a student at our Lubaga campus pursuing a Bachelor of Social Development and Counseling third year,” reads the statement in parts.
Ajambo was the General Secretary in UMUSU Lubaga campus 2018/2019.
“Catherine Ajambo, had just finished her final exam yesterday 9th May 2019 only to die later at 9:00pm,” the University wrote adding that burial will take place in Rukungiri district on Saturday May 11, 2019, at 2:00pm.
The cause of her death is yet to be confirmed as she had not reported any illness during her last days.
Her close friends say she was excited for the graduation.
