KIGEZI – Mr. Alywin Musinguzi has dragged his father James Musinguzi Garuga a tycoon and four other people to police over allegations of obtaining goods worthy UGX500 by false presence.

Mr. Garuga and colleagues have been summoned to appear at Kabale Police station on Tuesday 12, March.

On Wednesday 6, police summons signed by the OC CID Kabale Joel Ntabu, ordered Mr. Garuga who owns a string of businesses in Kampala and Kigezi Region, together with 4 employees of Kigezi Highland Tea Company to appear before the Police to record a statement over the allegations.

The accused include Rtd Capt Charles Byaruhanga (Former Kibale MP), Mr. Agaba Maguru, Mr. Robert Turyakira, and Mr. Julius Tibifumura.

These were dragged to Police by Mr. Musinguza a son to Garuga who claims having supplied tea seedlings to Kigezi Highland Tea Company worth over UGX500 million in 2016, through them but since then, he has never been paid.

He adds that on several occasions he has been reminding his father, agents, and Directors at the Company to pay him but they remained silent.

Musinguzi says they later denied that he had never supplied them with any tea. He, however, adds that his business is separate from that of his father so he “wants his money”.

However, Garuga and the four colleagues are required to report to OC CID Kabale Police Station on Tuesday 12, March 2019 without fail.
