KYADONDO EAST: The rise of Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, is largely attributed to the message in his music which have political undertones.

Bobi Wine has been the first musician to release a song in the new year. The song is dubbed Tuliyambala Engule translated as We shall wear the victor’s crown

The controversial song ‘Tuliyambala Engule features several other Ugandan music stars, comedians and politicians including Bugiri municipality member of parliament Asuman Basalirwa.

The Muscians include, Bobi Wine, Dr Hilderman, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Nubian Lee, Ronald Mayinja Irene Ntale, King Saha and Irene Namatovu.

“When the struggle is over, we shall wear the victor’s crown. We shall walk with swag in the new Uganda,” says part of the song.

Bobi Wine in his New Year Message also says the year has by no means been easy and that it has been very challenging for many citizens.

“I sympathise with those who lost loved ones and pray that God will comfort you. At the same time, we are very grateful for the many blessings bestowed on us each day of this year, especially the blessing of life for those of us who still live today,” he says.

He adds that although challenging, “2018 has showed us how much potential we have to make our country better when we are determined, united and more committed.”

“My wish for the New Year is that as Ugandans, we shall be more united in purpose, more committed to the struggle, more courageous to confront the forces of evil, and more hopeful that we shall build a new Uganda which works for all of us,” said Bobi Wine adding that a people united shall never be defeated.”
