ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian Capital for a High-Level consultation meeting of Heads of State and Government on the current situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to discuss the post Presidential elections’ disagreements in the Central Africa country.
The meeting at AU headquarters in Ethiopia was called by Rwandan President Paul Kagame, the current chairman of the African Union
The initiative is part of the African-led efforts to assist the DRC political stakeholders and people to successfully conclude the electoral process.
The DR Congo election commission last Thursday declared opposition leader Felix Tshisekedi the winner of the December 30 vote with 38.57 per cent of the tally against chief rival Martin Fayulu’s 34.8 per cent.’
