KAMPALA– Shortly after tendering in her resignation as the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director, Jennifer Musisi Ssemakula has run to court seeking for orders to attach the salary of the Lord Mayor Elias Lukwango.

According to her application filed before the High court -Execution division, Musisi through her lawyers of Kasirye Byaruhanga advocates says that she has been compelled to file a garnishee order against Lukwago after the later has failed to pay her Shs 47 million being costs of a suit that the High court awarded to her.

“I have reliable information that Lukwago has accumulated amounts of money on his account in Tropical Bank and therefore the court should issue an order to attach my Shs 47 million shillings.

High Court judge Mr Eldad Mwangusya ordered the Lord Mayor to foot all the bills of costs in which Ms Musisi incurred in pursuing the case where he had dragged her to court overstepping her mandate and passing off as the city head by convening meetings with city traders.

Musisi then filed a bill of costs that was taxed at Shs47.5 million which money she says Lukwago has refused to pay despite repeated demands and reminders.

This application comes at a time when  Lukwago is accusing Musisi before the High court of being one of the people withholding his salary arrears and emoluments amounting to over 536 million shillings.
