Mutara Sub-County chairman found hanged in forest

BUSHENYI– Police in Bushenyi are investigating the murder of Mutara sub-county chairman Jackson Kiganda in Mitoma district.

Kiganda was killed by unknown assailants who strangled and hanged him in a forest on Sunday night.

According to Marshal Tumusiime, the Police spokesperson for Greater Bushenyi the body of Kaginda was found on Monday morning hanged in a forest of one Kwesigabo in Ryansana I cell, Kashenyi ward in Ishaka Bushenyi municipality in Bushenyi district.

“We suspect the assailants to have first strangled him to death before they hanged him in a forest on Ishaka-Kitagata road, we have moved to the scene with our sniffer dogs to give us some leads to help us in the investigations.

“We found his car  parked on the roadside and now his body has been taken to Kitagata hospital for a postmortem to ascertain the cause of his death,” Tumusime confirmed.

Tumusiime also said Kaginda could have been attacked at night on his way from Kampala International Hospital where he had taken his father –in law for treatment.
