KISOZI – President Museveni is wallowing in the thumping victory of his ruling National Resistance Movement in the concluded LC1 elections countrywide.

In a statement issued from his Kisozi farm, Mr Museveni congratulated Ugandans for picking 84 percent NRM in the women elections and a huge majority in Tuesday’s LC1 elections whose final figures are yet to be completed.

“I am here in Kisozi. The subcounty of Kahanda (Kawanda), there are 40 villages. NRM won in 36 and the NRM independents won the other four. Opposition- zero,” he said.

“Thanks Ugandans for putting to shame the enemies of Uganda. Uganda is un-stoppable,” the president added saying  the lining behind candidates of ones choice hasmd “exposed the cheating by the opposition, especially in towns, using the laxity of the NRM officials, the police and the Electoral Commission”.

=================

President Museveni’s Full Statement:

Ugandans, congratulations on the huge successes for yourselves and your liberation movement, the NRM. The enemy media like the Monitor newspaper and allied groups plus their foreign backers, think that Ugandans are fools or blind. They think that Ugandans cannot see the truth. Now, in one week, they have massively shown those evil people that Ugandans cannot be fooled. In the women councils, the NRM won massively by taking 256,100 positions out of a total of 303,460 positions. The NRM independents took another 27, 069 positions. The NRM percentage was 84.5% while that of its independents 8.9% . The opposition groups, together, got 6.6%.

In yesterday’s LC1 elections, the NRM has won more massively. The details will be provided. I am here in Kisozi. The subcounty of Kahanda (Kawanda), there are 40 villages. NRM won in 36 and the NRM independents won the other four. Opposition- zero. On this side of the Katonga River, the Goomba side, the NRM won in all the surrounding villages: Kisozi A, Kisozi B, Kajumiro, etc. It is only in Kirasi that elections were postponed because somebody had imported voters from other areas.

Thanks Ugandans for putting to shame the enemies of Uganda. Uganda is un-stoppable. The lining behind candidates of ones choice has exposed the cheating by the opposition, especially in towns, using the laxity of the NRM officials, the police and the Electoral Commission. In Jinja East, in one of the parishes, there were 1400 ghost voters!! Uganda belongs to Ugandans. The traitors and the parasites will never take it over.
