KAMPALA- Police in Kampala has arrested and detained fallen city socialite Sipapa, real names Charles Otim for allegedly turning into a public nuisance and having inconsiderate use of motor vehicle.
Sipapa’s arrest came after his fellow businessmen in Kisekka market made a series of distress calls and complaints to Police over his untold behaviour. It is remembered that all arrests of Sipapa have happened following public outcries to the Police.
This is the second arrest of the fallen socialite following his arrest on 5th May, 2018 for violation of traffic rules and Police said they have been looking for Sipapa after a journalist filed an assault case against him two months ago.
Following his arrest, Police has promised to arrest all motorists who are undisciplined on the road and these include civil servants and celebrities stating that, ‘police warns all motorists over road indiscipline that will lead to one’s arrest regardless of one’s social status.’
