Thousands of Christians countrywide are participating in the Way of the Cross walk that highlights the passion and death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday.

Church leaders started sessions from their respective church headquarters as they marched towards Nakivubo Stadium. Church of Uganda Archbishop Stanley Ntagali and Kampala Bishop Hannington Mutebi led a procession from All Saints Cathedral while Father Emmanuel Ssekyewa marched from the Orthodox Church in Namungoona.

South Ankole Diocese Bishop Nathan Ahimbisibwe and Rev Fr Richard Denis Ssebugwawo, the vicar of Sacred Heart Ntungamo Catholic Parish, led the procession that included Kajara MP Micheal Kamugisha, Ntungamo RDC Justine Mbabazi and DPC Katwesiime Damian.
