Police detectivs carry out investigations at Ntungamo High Way Total fuel station-following the Wednesday morning robbery.

Police in Ntungamo District are investigating circumstances under which unknown thugs raided  Ntungamo High Way Total Petrol Station and made off with items valued at more than Shs30 million.

According to the district CID officer, Mr Godes Twinamatsiko, a security guard and an employee at the station have been arrested to help in investigations. Mr Twinamatsiko added that they have so far recovered some items believed to have been stolen from the station during the raid.

The petrol station manager, Mr Robert Habago, said the incident may have taken place around 4am without the knowledge of the security guard and staff on duty.

Mr Habago said they discovered many items such as gas cylinders and bottles of wine from the shop were missing in the morning as they were doing stock-taking.

The robbers reportedly made off with bottles of wine valued at Shs5m, cash worth over 5M, mobile money phones with float worth 6.6M, 10M worth of gas cylinders among other items before taking off.
