A 23-year-old man in Pallisa District has escaped death after severely being hit on the head by his wife who accused him of infidelity.
Thomas Kibuge a shopkeeper at Kayepei trading centre, Kayepei village, in Opwateta sub-county, was allegedly caught red-handed having sex with a Senior Four candidate of Regina Senior Secondary School in Pallisa rural sub-county on Wednesday. The 17-year-old girl, also a resident of Kayepei village, had allegedly gone back home to collect school fees.

Anna Simolo, a wife to Kibuge, says she was tipped by a boy who saw her husband and the teenage girl entering a friend’s house and locking themselves up during broad day light.
Simolo who is about eight months pregnant said she immediately rushed to the house, kicked the door open and found her husband having sexual intercourse with his new catch.
The irate wife said she picked a small hoe which was inside the very house and hit her husband on the head and he instantly fainted. The girl, however, managed to escape unhurt in the scuffle.

Kibuge is currently admitted at a clinic in Kayepei trading centre with a deep cut on his forehead.
Kibuye and Simolo have been married for three years and are expecting their second child.
Robert Okodel, the Kayepei LC1 chairperson, blamed the incident on lack of faithfulness among married couples and warned young girls in his area to desist from engaging in sexual relationships with married men.
