KAMPALA – Legendary hip hop artiste Daniel Kigozi yesterday left fans thrilled after his sold out show at Sheraton Hotel Gardens in Kampala. The concert dubbed 20 years of Navio was not only a celebration of his years in the entertainment industry but also celebrated 50-years of Hip Hop.

From a catalogue ofover 200 songs, Navio and his team selected the top 27 that he would be doing during the concert and going by the crowd’s reaction during the show, the organisers lived up to the billing.

The Njogereza hitmaker did four sessions, the first two on a live band and the other two on CD and he proved that he is a gem either way.

He did both collaborations and singles that all got the audience singing along. Navio performed Ngalo, Njogereza, Nawuliranga, One and Only, Kata, Hammadi and Bugumu as singles. The collaborations included Whistle Song and Mr Dj with Viboyo and Vampino, Mwana weka with Flex D’Pepper, Omu Kwomu with Young Mulo Fly with The Mith, Dream wit Lyrical G, Survivor with Lilian Mbabazi, among others.

Throught his two hours performance, Navio changed costumes four times.

Talent Africa did a tremendous job in the production of the show as the sound was good and supporting acts did not exceed the two to three songs they were given.

This made the show organised and every section had a good view of the highly raised stage for all fans the best performances they deserved.

The VVIP section had a whole different experience altogether thanks to Hennessey that Navio plays an ambassadorial role with.

Most new Spirits in the market do not get a chance to work with top ranked artistes on huge concerts and this was a worthwhile opportunity for the company.

Artistes such as Martha Mukisa, Mickie Wine, Lamu, Nina Roz, Maro, Zulitums, St Maximen and Triple S also came through to show the brother some love.
