KAMPALA – Ugandan Reggae band member of Black Roots Unlimited, Tshaka Mayanja real name Winston Mayanja is set to celebrate 30 years in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
Arguably Uganda’s leading reggae artist, TShaka has made his mark in Africa, as a reggae singer, songwriter, producer and promoter.
The star will be celebrating this milestone at the Johnnie Walker All Music Safari concert slated for November 30, at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.
“It is important to celebrate when you achieve a great milestone. It is by the grace of the most high and my ancestors through whom I’m spiritually guided that we are here, and we are doing this work as their vessels that is worth celebrating,” said Tshaka.
Tshaka is widely recognized for his contribution to the growth and appreciation of jazz and soul music within Uganda’s audience on a massive scale.
