KAMPALA – Singer Michael Mugwanya popularly known as King Micheal is set to perform in a come-back concert on Friday, August 23, at Freedom City in Namasuba.

For starters, he was one of the trending dance hall artists in the country in the early 2000’s and dominated the scene with tunes like ” Muko Muko”, ” Kiri ok”, ” Kwata Kwata ” that were the staple with enormous radio rotation and massive airplay on most of the TV stations.

He also outed other songs such as “Mbalabasa”, “fake doctor”, “abagenda ebulaya ” among others that did not have much impact as the latter.

As you know, most artists come and disappear off the scene.

This norm did not spare him either and for some time he was in hibernation and was nowhere to be seen on the music scene not even for an upcountry gig.

The dance hall king was seen recently in the media after the social wave of Bryan White and his foundation were he was for some good time together with other artists as brand ambassadors.

Recently, he was voted as the dance hall representative with  Uganda Music Association ( UMU) a body that unites all artists in the country.

Some of artits that have confirmed their presence are Chameloene, Eddy Kenzo, Bebe cool, Spice Diana, Gravity, B2C,  A- pass, Fik Fameica, Cindy and others.
