Just after he landed a deal as the only Ugandan artist set to perform at this year’s World Cup in Russia, news coming in from the Mpaka Records, a music label he solely owns, is that Ykee Benda, real names Wycleff Bukenya, was flown first class last right to Sierra Leone.
This comes after one of the artists in Sierra Leone fell in love with his music and asked Ykee to join them for a hit song.
The artist who invited the 28yr old will pay for everything, including audio and video production, flight fares, among other things.
Way to go Ykee.
