KAMPALA – Former Revival band singer Hajjat Madinah Kansiime has revealed how she is currently choking on rent arrears. The Bibuuza singer shared that she is on the verge of being evicted from her rental because of unpaid rent arrears that accumulated over a period of three months.
While appearing in an interview on a local entertainment show, Hajat Madina pleaded with well-wishers to run to her rescue revealing that she is choking on a debt of Shs600, 000.
“You see me glowing but behind my glowing skin there are lots of problems. Soon, I might face eviction from my rental because I’m choking on accumulated rent arrears for a period of three months worth Shs600k. In fact, even the small business that I had started collapsed long ago,” she shared.
Madina added that she is currently relying on her son’s earnings to keep herself afloat yet he (the son) is just a street vendor.
“I am kindly requesting whoever can come to my rescue to bail me out of this situation before things get worse.”
The singer also shared that ever since her small business collapsed, everything changed and life has been tougher during the previous 42 days lockdown period.
She called upon well-wishers to swing into action and help her with financial assistance so that she does not get evicted from her rental.
The sensational singer was last seen in the media when she was mourning the death of Revival Christian Center lead pastor Augustine Yiga in Kawaala.
She was one of the founding members of t5he revival band much as she later chose to part ways with the Kawaala-based band.
Life was not easy for her after then as she was later seen giving her life to Christ at the Rubaga-based Miracle Center Cathedral in the 77 DOGS under the stewardship of Pastor Robert Kayanja.
