KAMPALA – A number of service providers are set to walk away with awards for providing consumers with the best services for the year 2020/2021 at the Consumers Guide magazine ceremony that will take place on Wednesday 31st March, 2021 in Kampala.
This was revealed yesterday as the Consumer Choice Magazine launched this year’s edition of the Consumers Choice Awards (CC Awards) at Golf Course Hotel in Kampala.
The awards are aimed at recognizing business excellence for businesses across Uganda. Every other year, the Consumer Guide Magazine gathers opinions, perceptions and expectations through the responses of thousands of consumers and businesses.
Speaking to the media at Golf Course, Mr Bari Salim the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the Consumer Guide Magazine said the awards also aim at honoring companies and individuals who go that extra distance for their customers and also make sure they get the recognition they so richly deserve.
“The CC Award is devoted to identifying and promoting businesses that exemplify excellent customer care service, integrity and professionalism. CC Awards recipients are chosen by consumers,” he says.
Salim adds that their research says that consumers prefer awards voted for by customers rather than industry experts and that is why CC Award recipients are not selected by a panel of judges but by the customers themselves.
What the award means
According to Salim, for the recipient, the award is not only a unique achievement to help them stand out in a competitive market but also represents the knowledge that they have earned the trust and loyalty of the customers.
He explains that the award also provides for the recipients’ company with a very powerful validation of their customers’ satisfaction and business excellence.
“CC Award helps customers to choose wisely for their personal, home and business needs. The result is fewer regrets and saved time and money since poor purchase decisions often result in quite the opposite.”
He adds that the CC Award is ultimately an additional reference point in a customer’s search for the optimal provider for the services they deserve, it helps consumers make the right choice.
“When choosing a bank, courier service company, digital Pay TV Company, consumers want to know whom they are really dealing with. Quality, professionalism and trust are all important considerations when choosing a service provider.”
CC Awards is the only organization in Uganda to recognize business excellence by conducting statistically a comprehensive and objective accurate independent market research survey, to determine brand reputation, customer satisfaction, and business excellence for the quality of their service, value, professionalism, and integrity.
