KAMPALA – Wednesday 16 December 2020 will go down in memory lane for Kristiana Nakato Kayanja, the daughter of Miracle Center Cathedral lead Pastor, Robert Kayanja as the day she made her debut in the fashion industry.

Kristiana in a pompous and glamorous function held at Serena Conference Center Kampala hosted dignitaries from the government, business men, socialites, beauty queens, top celebrities, and people in the fashion industry to witness her triumphal entry into the world of fashion.

Businessman Godfrey Kirumira and his wife also graced the event (PHOTO/PML Daily).

The 23-year-old showcased on the runway with a number of models all kinds of men and women fashions for all events like weddings, casuals, corporate wear, bitenge among others.

This was the very first time where pieces from her collection were presented to the general public.

The London schooled designer said that her brand ‘Kristiana’ combines the detailed glamour of couture pieces with simple elegance that defines class.

She has already won the hearts of her parents, her first clients, who model shirts featuring a cocktail of colorful prints, in the brand’s first advertising campaign.

“Each of the pieces is distinctive, individual and uniquely put together, drawing all my inspiration from the color of nature. I want everybody to look like a breath of fresh air, a beautiful bird or a blossoming flower,” she shared.

Speaking to PML Daily, Pastor Kayanja encouraged parents to nurture their children’s dreams and support them to achieve their set goal at all times.

“We always humble ourselves in front of God because the gifts God gives us on earth are little. He gives us life, wisdom and family. If you love your family, you will always find yourself doing for them all it takes to see them happy,” he shared.

Kayanja encouraged everyone that if they commit themselves and humble themselves before God, everything is possible.

“I want to thank my wife Jessica Kayanja because she has loved this family beyond limits. She has dedicated her life to us. When Kristian got sick, she spent six years with her on her sick bed. This shows that mothers do a lot of work and I want to thank her for standing strong for us to see these kinds of fruits.”

It should be noted that in 2004, Pastor Robert and Jessica Kayanja held a thanksgiving after their daughter (now the fashion icon) miraculously healed from brain cancer.

Doctors at a UK hospital had told the couple that Kristiana had a big tumor and that she couldn’t survive for more than three weeks.

“We prayed to God and started giving (her) Holy Communion every day. With God’s grace, medical reports showed that the cancer was detaching itself from the brain. After a given period, no trace of cancer was detected in Kristiana,” Pastor Kayanja narrated then.
