KAMPALA – Over the weekend, city tattooist Maxim Steurbaut Kizito proposed to his longtime girlfriend Sheila Salta after dating for close to eight years and the two have been making their love public on social media.
Kizito on Saturday night popped the question to the TV star that left her so emotional as it took her quite a while to catch her breath, with tears in her eyes.
This played out well due to her friends who were able to convince her that it was her belated birthday party and she walked right into it with the might and fun that she had hoped not to ever forget.
“I love you, do you want to marry me?” Maxi asked.
The surprised Salta looked at Max and said “YES, yes, I’ll marry you!”
“We have grown together, it was not easy but who ever said it would be, right now we are ready to focus on our future. Am overwhelmed! I was expecting this because we talked about it, but I can’t believe the day is finally here. I love him and him alone. Now he is mine officially, forever,” Sheila said.
Like any couple, Kizito and Salta have had their good and bad times but they always had their backs through it all.
“Am so ready to be with her for the rest of my life, she is my better half. Once you can trust a woman 110% because of all the mistakes in the past, you can marry her! I can’t give up on trust,” Kizito said.
Kizito however did not reveal the wedding dates as he opined that 2020 is finished and both of them have families in Europe that will need to fly over which is not possible now.
“We are waiting for things to go back to normal. No rush. I am going to take it slow, I’ve done my last deals for the year and am ready to focus more on my health and spend as much time with my family and kids. Might open a Sneaker Shop! I’m going to finish 2020 in style,” he said.
Sheilah met Uganda-raised Kizito eight years ago. He was passionate about entertainment and business then working for Dr. Jose Chameleone as Tour Manager and handling many business projects for the both of them.
Currently, Kizito has his own talent agency and several business investments and Salta is a big star on NBSTV doing the Katch Up show every Friday night.
“Oh, I am on a roll! I love my new job at NBS and am getting deal after deal. Am even being called for MC work in South Africa. I am happier and stronger than I have ever been, with enough energy to stay on the top. My family is my number one priority but my career is as much important to me,” she said.
