KAMPALA – Many people continue to pay their last respects to the fallen Revival Christian Center Church Kawaala lead Pastor Augustine Yiga.

These range from celebrities in the music industry, the Buganda Kingdom and fellow Pastors who throng the church to eulogize the fallen man of God.

Among these is renowned local Poet and dramatist Aloysius Matovu Joy who has also been among these people.

In an interview with one of the local TV channels, the emotional Matovu expressed his disgust in the statements that were made by Christian Life Center Lead Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga’s statements against the deceased Pastor Yiga.

The poet who at one time publicly revealed his HIV status a few years ago, almost shed a tear as he spoke against Senyonga’s statements which he termed as “cowardly”.

“That is the same way you will be judged. You are such a coward. You couldn’t tell him those words face-to-face when he was alive and you had to wait till he was dead and couldn’t even shake his body to expose him,” he said.

The ABS TV proprietor breathed his last on Monday 26th October 2020 at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya where he had been hospitalized for some weeks.

Upon being pronounced dead, the cunning Jackson Ssenyonga organized a press conference in which he attacked the deceased for living an ungodly life.

In the presser, Ssenyonga exposed Yiga’s private life and his HIV positive status. Ssenyonga also said that at the time of his death, Yiga had molested several women and infected them with HIV.

“We have ladies with children who have fallen victim to that. Some are sick while others are not,” Ssenyonga said.

Ssenyonga’s statements have since attracted backlash from the public, a number of musicians, fellow pastors who all believe his words were unjust for the dead and could breed disunity in the born again church.

Some like Pastor Franklin Mondo Mugisha believe that the Christian Life Church leader Pastor, Senyonga has no place in heaven following the latter’s striking words which he uttered against the late Pastor Yiga.

Mondo said Senyonga had no authority to judge Yiga despite having done somethings that born-again Christians couldn’t agree with. He went ahead to ask people to forgive his (Senyonga’s) actions alleging that he is sick and sometimes does unrelated things.

Mondo who described Senyonga as a jealous person said that he (Senyonga) has had so many cases to answer and said that he will be exposed soon.

The Pastors’ Association is also not happy about the press conference called by Senyonga and the things he said about Yiga.

They have since demanded he produces medical documents to back up his allegations and also apologize to the born again fraternity, as well as Yiga’s followers or he, gets sued.

Pastor Yiga is yet to be buried at his Kawaala Church this Sunday as per his will.
