KAMPALA – Bad Character Records C.E.O and singer Khalifa Aganaga has said he is ready to do business with any politician who is ready to pay him.

This was after the singer who intends to represent the People of Rubaga South got a scare of fellow artist Joseph Mayanja alias Chameleone being denied a ticket for the mayoral race by NUP.

Khalifa’s pledge to work with any politicians comes just a week after the Rubaga South MP hopeful changed lyrics of his Kibooko song and heaped praises on the incumbent and NRM flag bearer Yoweri Museveni in a song that appears to be a campaign theme for him (Museveni).

The song which he initially denied to be his creation outlines the achievements of Museveni ever since he captured power in 1986. It also compares him to the past leaders of Uganda saying he has surely steered the country to the right direction.

Sources however intimate that the song dubbed ‘Muzeei Kibooko Fire’ could be Khalifa Aganaga’s backup plan to work with the ruling NRM party in case things go wrong with the NUP ticket.

The ‘Mina Konda Mama’ singer’s strong commitment to reinvesting his time, efforts and money into music could be because he cannot ascertain what the outcomes of his NUP vetting process for the Rubaga South ticket will be.

Aganaga announced his ambitions to oust comedian Kato Lubwama to represent the people of Rubaga South in the 11th parliament come 2021.

He showed off his academic documents in a bid to erase any doubts of his ability if he is ever voted into parliament.

Kalifah took to his social media pages to express his disappointment in NUP revealing how he was also denied the chance to own the party’s card as a member.

The singer also revealed that he will continue supporting Chameleone to achieve his political goals despite being denied the National Unity Platform (NUP) party ticket to the Kampala Mayoral Race.

“It will be unfair to support the incumbent, we want change and we shall have the change when we change the old leaders by voting them out of those offices. What else are they going to bring on table after a period of 10 years in office,” he said.

Aganaga added that Mayanja is the change since he is the man that has supported his career in many ways.

“He made me look special when he gave me a collabo. Other musicians at that time were pushing me away including those you know,” he posted.

Last week, Vimba Entertainment a new record label announced Kalifah Aganaga as their first signing and assured how he has been recording new music which will soon be released.
