
KAMPALA – Nigerian comical sensation Emmanuella Samuel aka Emmanuella has arrived in Uganda ahead of her stage performance due on September 7.
The 9-year-old, who performs under the umbrella of Mark angel comedy series of short clips that feature on Youtube, on Wednesday arrived at Entebbe airport in the company of fellow comedienne Success and their mentor Mark Angel.
They will hold shows at Serena Hotel and Freedom City on 7th and 8th September 2019, respectively.
Emmanuella is also expected to share the same stage with Fresh Kid.
“I feel so happy to be in Uganda. I want to work with Fresh Kid. He has a nice voice and good music,” Emmanuella said.
Emmanuella promised to make people smile, laugh and ‘make them forget about their sorrows”, while her colleagues promised a very energetic performance for the two days they will be on stage.
Emmanuella has, since her appearance in the laugh industry, risen up the ranks to be a favorite in Nigeria’s comedy industry and beyond with many seemingly not getting enough of her rib-cracking enchanting videos spread across social media platforms. Her story, however, began during a holiday vacation where she met with a then fairly established Nigerian comedian Mark Angel who was at the time looking for children to cast for his comedy clips. The 9-year-old first joined the comedy industry when she was only 5-years-old under the umbrella of Mark angel comedy series of short clips, which features children in most of their productions, an outfit by Nigerian comedian Mark Angel through a posted video called” this is not my face.”
The creative, skillful and talented young comedian featured in a movie titled survive or die. The Australian movie was filmed in 2016 and released in 2018, co-written and directed by both Daniel Okoduwa –African Born based in Australia (First African to produce a film in Australia) and Mike Kang.
In November 2016, She was hosted by CNN and in the same year won the first edition of the sub-Saharan African YouTube Awards-making her the youngest person to have won the award, the best new comedienne and Princess of comedy awards at the Afro Australian Music and movie awards and the G-influence Niger Delta special talent Award.
