KAMPALA- Singer Grace Nakimera has led a campaign to build a home for young people with Albinism in Uganda.
Nakimera together with Feed the Streets Foundation came to the aid of people with albinism to help them get out of the miserable life they lead.
In a statement she posted on social media Nakimera revealed the house is under construction and it will be completed soon.
“In a few weeks’ time, this beautiful baby and 27 other housemates will be housed in a newly constructed modern facility, thanks to Feed the Streets Foundation’s Build a Home Campaign.” she posted on facebook.
“Thanks to God, we have through your support and our partners been able to raise substantial funding to see this home come to life. As you may see in the photos, a huge team is on ground day and night to see this huge dream come true.” she added.
Nakimera and Feed the Streets Foundation are coordinating a campaign, Build a Home, to improve housing conditions in Uganda.
The Build a Home campaign targets to construct 50 new homes in Uganda by 2023.
