KAMPALA —Mr. Vincent Seruma has left Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) after the end of his contract employment with the tax body.

Seruma has been assistant commissioner for corporate affairs for the last four years.

In an emotional letter to business reporters, Seruma said: …. It is with great pleasure that I notify you of my retirement from URA after the end of my contract of employment”.

“I would like to sincerely thank each of you for the support and guidance accorded to me during the last four years. You all know that I didn’t have professional training in media but you received me very very well as a brother.

“I have enjoyed exceptional favor and support from many of you. We have been able to do a number of projects with many of you and I have found you all very professional. It is sometimes said that journalists are difficult but this is not what I got from you”.

He said his deputy Ian Rumanyika is in the office and asked reporters to support him and the URA team.
