KAMPALA – In Uganda, the business community is faced with numerous challenges arising from public speaking and communication skills thus affecting the stead- fast growth businesses and entreprenuers despite their hard work.
Through her continuous engagements on social media platforms and online streams on how to improve brands that strive amidst all odds, Dr. Nataliey Bitature using the “HER” initiative has embarked on short courses that will help to upscale entrepreneurs and propel them to the next level.
This catalog will focus on captivating speaking, personal development and business boot camp at Shs100,000, Shs250,000 and Shs1,000,000 respectively.
According to Dr. Nataliey, the world has changed so much and so fast due to COVID -19 and people must adapt to what business as usual means.
“Over the last year, I had been mentoring young women and doing regular meetups where we discuss different challenges and issues. I had just begun doing workshops. So when the pandemic hit, I thought we cannot just stop. African Women are marginalised so much already, the skills and knowledge I was sharing was making a difference and I had to find a way to continue. I had previously done some online classes and I found them to be very effective. So I investigated how I would be able to deliver to the women of HER quality content in a way they can easily access,” she said.
Relatedly, the courses are self-paced so they do not need the logistics of cohorts at the moment. The platform used allows lifetime access to all paid users.
More so, the personal development course releases one video and worksheet per week so there is time to fully absorb and begin implementing its principles before moving to the next stage. The public speaking course is shorter and one can access all the videos at once, so they can pause or replay them setting their own pace.
Additionally, she noted that “HER” is a platform for women’s empowerment, not a traditional University or academy that may be one day it will be accredited by the ministry but for now she believes the ladies leave with a lot more than just a mere certificate.
She further explained that they maintain a private Facebook group to continue to encourage and empower all the women who do the courses.
They share articles and have discussions on hot topics as well as career opportunities and a business marketplace.
She vowed her personal commitment to support each and every woman through numerous ways so that they can continue to grow in future that they look forward to.
