ENTEBBE – MV Kalangala has resumed it’s daily trips from Entebbe to Kalangala following six months without operations after government’s ban on public transport to curb the spread of COVID 19 in March.
Mr Hakim Bwanika, the public relations officer MV Kalangala said they have resumed operations following the SOP’s given by Government.
Mr Bwanika revealed that the vessel had been cleared earlier to resume operations but due to the rise in the water levels that even washed away the docking pier at Nakiwogo couldn’t enable them to start operations.
Bwanika said the vessel will be arriving at Nakiwogo at 11 am before it departs for Butooka, Kalangala at 2pm with a reduced number of people, with 25 in the V.I.P section and 50 seated in the ordinary section per the ministry of health guideline’s.
Bwanika revealed that the fares have been reduced with a V.I.P ticket going for Shs 14,000 and ordinary shs 10,000
