Airtel Uganda giving customers free data in new campaign

KAMPALA – Airtel Uganda has launched a rewards program that will see its customers earn free data bundles upon referring their family and friends to register on the My Airtel App.

The Airtel Refer and Earn program is an exciting opportunity for customers to earn 50MBs for every successful new registration of their friends and family. The referee will earn 200MBs of free data applicable on new app registrations.

Speaking about the new rewards program, Airtel Uganda’s Chief Commercial Officer Mr Amit Kapur said; “The Airtel Refer and Earn program is an added incentive we are leveraging to connect our customers to the My Airtel App stellar portfolio of Airtel Uganda services on the go.”

“To refer a friend, go to My Airtel App in Quick Actions, select Refer & Earn, share your refer link through SMS, Whatsapp, Facebook, twitter or any messaging app on your phone. Ensure your friend uses your shared link to download, install and register on My Airtel App.

Once the My Airtel APP is downloaded successfully using the link, and the registration complete, you will get 50MBs of data and your friend 200MBs. You can refer as many friends as possible and enjoy free data.”

How to participate:

Go to My Airtel APP and check under Quick Actions

Select refer and earn to continue.

The referral link to share will display in blue for you to click and share with family and friends to claim your offer.

A shareable link will appear with a referral code for the offer redemption.

Once the user clicks on the shared link they will be prompted to go to the Play Store or Apple Store of their respective phone to download the App.

Upon successful My Airtel App download, users will be prompted with to enter a code that they will have received.
Once the code is entered, the user will get a notification SMS indicating receipt of offer and the referrer will also get an offer notification.

The offer will also display in the App.

The free data lasts for 7 days. To see your data earnings as well as the referrals that have been successful, go to Refer and Earn on the App or dial *175*4# yes.
