KAMPALA, UGANDA – One lucky player has won over UGX 100 million in the Uganda National Lottery’s POWERBALL special roll-down draw, which took place on Friday, November 1, 2024.
The winning numbers for draw number 43 were 28, 30, 33, 36, 46, with the POWERBALL number 8. The roll-down draw was triggered after no player matched the jackpot, which had grown to UGX 1.5 billion since June 1, 2024.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this exciting moment with the winner of Uganda National Lottery’s second roll-down since we launched in the market,” said Michelle Van Trotsenburg, Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at ITHUBA Uganda. “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the lucky winner.”
According to ITHUBA Uganda, the official operator of the Uganda National Lottery, the guaranteed roll-down mechanism ensures that the prize money is distributed to the next highest prize division with winners when the jackpot remains unclaimed.
“The roll-down is a testament to our commitment to making every game memorable for our participants,” Van Trotsenburg added. “By offering this guaranteed payout, we’re reinforcing our promise to deliver life-changing experiences to our players.”
The Uganda National Lottery has seen significant participation across the country, with thousands of players vying for the top prize. The lottery’s popularity has been fueled by its guaranteed payouts and the potential for life-changing wins.
