Striker Jude Ssemugabi has extended his stay with Uganda Premier League side Mbarara City FC.
He has signed an employment contract of two years and this extends his stay with The Ankole Lions until 2023.
The development was confirmed through an official statement released by the club.
“We are delighted to announce that Jude Ssemugabi has extended his stay at the club for more two years till 2023.” Read the statement.
The forward joined Mbarara City from Kiboga Young. He was also the top scorer of the Masaza Cup in 2018 with eight goals as his side Ssingo emerged champions.
In the recently concluded season Mbarara City under the stewardship of Livingston Mbabazi finished seventh with 38 points when the league was ended prematurely due to the pandemic Ssemugabi managed five goals.
He joins goalkeeper Martin Elungat who also signed an extension contract of two years.
