KAMPALA – After disappointing Police FC 3-2 at St. Mary’s stadium – Kitende in what the cops’ officials believe was a stage-managed results last Friday, defending Champions and table leaders – Vipers SC step back onto the pitch this Tuesday to face ill-prepared and Jinja based Bul FC as the Uganda Premier League returns.

The cops boss, Asan Kasingye had no kind word towards Vipers and the day’s referees, insisting his player – Derrick Ochan was controversially redcarded.

Nevertheless, the senior cop’s outbursts was all that mattered about the result of the game as the Kitende based side go into the Tuesday game against Bul, enjoying the clamour that comes with leading the table. And, it shouldn’t be a surprise when Bul travels back Jinja, starting the journey after Mukono – why not when Express hammered them 4-0 at their own backayard.

On the same day, Wakiso Giants, who picked a vital point away from URA, will be in action against KCCA at home.

The Purple Sharks’ last home game ended in a disappointing 2-2 draw, despite taking a 2-0 at half time.

According Wakiso’s official website, Coach Douglas Bamweyana believes his charges are read to correct their mistakes in the Tuesday game after preparing well, despite the little gap in-between games.

“Having played on Saturday, we are trying to balance loading recovery and we feel we have prepared well enough,” the club website, quotes Bamweyana as saying.

“We are aware of the threats of the opponents but we are looking forward to tomorrow,” he added.
