NOUAKCHOTT – Uganda’s U20 team – The Hippos play hosts – Mauritania in their last group A game of the African Cup of Nations – Afcon.

The 10:00pm kick-off tie at the Olympic Stadium in Nouakchott will determine Hippos’ next destination -an advancement into the tournament or booking a flight back to Kampala.

Uganda beat Mozambique 2-0, before going down 0-1 to Cameroon and only a win in today’s game would ensure the youngsters a slot into elimination stages.

The Hippos’ head coach – Morley Byekwaso believes his team has what it takes to overcome Mauritania – his game plans will rotates around Derrick Kakooza and Steven Sserwadda in the hunt for goals.

But hosts -Mauritania, who too, lost 0-1 to Cameroon have vowed to correct their mistakes and will, most likely rely on Oumar Mbareck to distabilise Uganda’s defence.
