REPORTS! 13 Local based players summoned for Cranes-Dubai camp

KAMPALA – The Uganda Cranes head coach Johnathan McKinstry has summoned 13 local based players as the team prepares for the upcoming camp.

The Cranes are slatted to travel to Dubai on Sunday, October 4 for a nine-day training camp.

According to Kawowo Sports, all the 13 will undertake COVID-19 tests on Thursday, October 1 before travelling to the United Arab Emirates capital.

Three goalkeepers have been named in the squad along with 10 outfield players.

Uganda is gearing up to take on South Sudan in a double header in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.

The 13 players that have been summoned

Goalkeepers

Alionzi Nafian, Charles Lukwago and Joel Mutakubwa

Others

Paul Mbowa, Halid Lwaliwa, Kato Samuel, David Owori, Said Kyeyune, Shafik Kagimu, Milton Kariisa, Ibrahim Oriti, Ibrahim Watambala and Bright Anukani.
