KAMPALA – URA FC have on Tuesday, September 8 completed the signing of goalkeeper Hannington Sebwalunyo.
The custodian signs for the Tax Collectors from relegated side Maroons FC.
It is understood that Sebwalunyo has penned down a three-year contract that will see him at URA FC until 2023.
It is understood that Sam Simbwa’s side has for a while now been chasing the custodian’s signature.
The former BUL FC goalkeeper still had two years left on his contract with Maroons FC. However, it is yet to been known, how much the Tax Collectors have paid to praise him away from the Prison side.
He now takes the tally of senior goalkeeper, at Simbwa’s disposal to three, joining Alionzi Nafian and Samuel Mwaka.
He becomes URA’s third acquisition in the off season following the signing of Steven Mukwala and Jackson Nunda from Vipers SC and KCCA FC respectively.
URA FC are will be eyeing a third-ever Uganda Premier League title next season. Last campaign, they finished 5th with 40 points from 25 games. The 2020-21 season is expected to kick off on 17th October 2020.
