JINJA – BUL FC have secured the signing of midfielder Ambrose Kirya.

Kirya joins the Jinja based side on a year deal from record Uganda Premier League winners SC Villa.

His capture was confirmed by the BIDCO bankrolled side on Thursday.

“BUL FC is delighted to announce the signing of Ambrose Kirya on a one-year contract, welcome home,” BUL FC noted in a statement.

With the 2020/21 Uganda Premier League around the corner, BUL have so far signed eight players including Kirya.

Kirya was one of the key pillars for Villa last season, scoring 8 goals and managing four assists for the side which eventually finished 3rd.

He departs the Jogoos after five years. He joined them from another Jinja based side in Jinja Municipal Council (JMC) Hippos.

With a player exodus of sorts expected at Villa before the season starts, Kirya is believed to be the start of stars moving out.

At BUL, he is expected to play a key role in Arthur Kyesimira’s side that will be targeting to finish among the top three and have a decent run in the Uganda Cup.

They has already announced the of experienced players like Aggrey Maddoi, Ibrahim Mugulusi and Davis Mutebi. The others that have come in are Kenneth Kibaale Elvis, Douglas Bithum, Paul Mbaziira and Peter Onzima.

BUL finished 6th last season with 36 points from 25 games.
