BOMBO – Former Uganda Cranes midfielder Kefa Kisala will lead Uganda People Defence Forces (UPDF) FC in the 2020/21 Uganda Premier League as their head coach.
Kisala was named head coach on Wednesday, August 12 on a two-year employment contract.
He replaces Steven Bogere who helped the club return to the Uganda Premier League a few months ago.
Kisala bounces back to management for the first time since he was sacked at Wakiso Giants FC in 2019.
He has also previously coached at BUL FC, URA FC and Express FC.
UPDF will be attempting to fend off the drop next season and have already signed several players to try and attain that.
Ronnie Kisseka, Ibrahim Wammanah, Simon Mbaziira, Gaddafi Gadinho and James Begesa have already been signed and it looks like the recruitment will continue.
UPDF FC gained promotion to the Uganda Premier League after finishing top of the Big League Rwenzori group.
