KAMPALA – Express FC have continued their bid to strengthen their squad with a second signing this week.
The Red Eagles who earlier secures goalkeeper Cryspus Kusiima have signed another shot stopper.
Denis Otim is the latest player to join the Wankulukuku based side.
Otim joins from Mbarara City FC with who he last featured for in the top flight.
The 20 year old has also previously played at Vipers SC and Nyamityobora FC.
Speaking after signing for the Red Eagles, Otim noted that he joined the club because of its status and hopes to continue his progress.
“I joined the Red Eagles because it’s a big club in the country and I expect to use it as a spring board to further my career outside Uganda,” Otim told the club website.
Otim is most remembered for his exploits with the Uganda Hippos (U20) side that was eliminated at the Quarter final stage of the 2019 CECAFA U20 tournament.
Express now have three goalkeeper including Kusiima and Mathaius Muwanga, who will all tussle it out for a starting slot.
The Red Eagles who let go of upto 15 players are expected to continue their recruitment spree in the next few months.
Last season, they finished 9th with 31 points from 25 games.
