Reigning Uganda Premier League Vipers SC have completed the signing of Disan Galiwango.

As early reported by this website, Galiwango has put pen to paper on a four year deal that will keep him at the Kitende based side until 2024.

His capture was announced by Vipers SC via their official website on Wednesday morning.

“Vipers Sports Club have completed the signing of left back Disan Galiwango from Express. Read part of the post on Vipers SC website.

Galiwango signs from Express FC, a side that he captained to 9th spot last season.

He becomes Vipers’ first signing under head coach Fred Kajoba who was recruited earlier this year.

Kajoba (L) hands over a Vipers SC jersey to Galiwango (R) on Wednesday.

His arrival brings an end to transfer speculations which have been linking him to various clubs including KCCA FC and Wakiso Giants FC.

The left back ensures the Venoms have three quality options in that spot with Farouk Musisi and Aziz Kayondo also available at their disposal.

Speaking after signing for Vipers, Galiwango branded Vipers as a great club and promised to add value to the team.

“In my view, Vipers is a big football brand in this country hence I’m honoured to be joining this great club. He said.

“I promise to add value as expected.”

Galiwango began his football career at Richo Soccer Academy before being picked by Simba SC at the start of the 2015/16 season.

He stayed with the army side throughout the 2016/17 season until January 2018 when Water FC acquired his services for half a season.

In August 2018, the he was lured by Express FC where he has distinctively plied his trade until the end of the just concluded season.

After winning the 2019/20 season, Vipers are intent on defending their crown and also perform favourably in the CAF Champions League.

Vipers tactician Kajoba also admitted that Galiwango had been on the club’s radar after an impressive season with Express and it was now ‘mission accomplished’.

“Galiwango is a player with huge potential. But most importantly he is also ready to come in and contribute right away which is a key factor.” Noted Kajoba.
