All is not well for Ugandan players abroad as they continue to be released by their respective clubs.
The latest is former SC Villa and Vipers SC captain Tadeo Lwanga.
Lwanga has reportedly been released from his contract by Egyptian side Tanta SC.
The workaholic box to box player has spent only a year at Tanta but will now have to pack his bags and move elsehere.
Lwanga is among the two players released by the club that is 15th on the Egyptian Premier League table with 16 points.
He becomes the third Ugandan foreign-based player all to be released by his club in the last two weeks after Joel Madondo (Wydad Casablanca) and Jayden Onen (Brentford).
It is also understood that Khalid Aucho is set to terminate his contract with Makassa FC due to unpaid wages.
At Tanta, Lwanga made 11 appearances and one assist in the league.
The 26-year old Uganda Cranes midfielder joined the side from Vipers SC last year.
He was part of the Cranes team that reached the last 16 at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
He as previously featured for Makerere University Team, Ndejje United, Kyadondo FC, Express FC, SC Villa and Vipers SC.
Lwanga is now set to return to Uganda as he attempts to seal a move elsewhere.
