Athletic Bilbao slipped to a narrow 1-0 defeat away at Barcelona on Tuesday evening and now sit 10th in the La Liga table heading into this weekends’ fixtures. Mallorca lost 2-0 at Real Madrid on Wednesday night and sit in the relegation zone along with Leganes and Espanyol.

The last time these two sides met, back in September, they played out a goalless draw that won’t live long in the memory. The hosts Athletic Bilbao head into Saturday’s clash as the form favourites with two wins, two draws and two defeats from their last six matches in league and cup, as Mallorca have lost four, draw one and won one during that same period.

Athletic Bilbao have won five of their last six matches against Mallorca. The hosts have also kept clean sheets in five of their last six meetings with Saturday’s guests and have won eight of their 15 home games this season, while Mallorca have lost 12 of their 15 away trips.

The hosts have kept clean sheets in 53% of their home matches so far this season and Mallorca have failed to score in a whopping 60% of their away games, so you can see just why we are confident that Bilbao will win-to-nil on Saturday. In terms of a final scoreline, we’re predicting a 2-0 victory for the hosts who have scored 17 and conceded just eight goals at home this season.

Athletic Bilbao have won five of their last six matches against Mallorca. Mallorca have lost and failed to score in four of their last six matches. The hosts have kept clean sheets in 53% of their home games. The visitors have failed to score in 60% of their away games.

Celta Vigo eased their relegation fears with a 1-0 win away at Real Sociedad in midweek, while Barcelona moved top of the table, for 24hrs at least, after they beat Athletic Bilbao 1-0 at the Camp Nou. Barcelona hammered Celta Vigo 4-1 when the pair locked horns for their reverse league fixture back in November and will be aiming for the domestic double this weekend.

The visitors head into the match as the form favourites with four wins, one draw and one defeat from their last six matches and have had an extra days rest which could prove vital on Saturday. Both teams have looked solid in defence in recent matches with each keeping five clean sheets from their last six outings, so we’re expecting a tight and tense 90-minutes between the pair.

A whopping 73% of Celta Vigo’s home matches have seem under 2.5 goals scored and the hosts have only conceded one goal in their last six outings.

Five of Barcelona’s and five of Celta Vigo’s last six league games have also produced under 2.5 goals and Barcelona have only conceded two goals during that period. The hosts only concede an average of 0.87 goals per home game and clearly don’t give much away at the Abanca-Balaidos. Barcelona score an average of 1.47 goals per away game and have only scored more than two goals in one of their last six matches.

Osasuna made a return to winning ways in midweek as they pinched a 1-0 win away at Alaves, while Leganes drew 0-0 with Granada to make it four league games without a victory. The gap between these two clubs is up to 13pts and the hosts head into Saturday’s clash as the form favourites with two wins, one draw and three defeats from their last six outings.

The last time these two met back in August 2019 a solitary goal from Avila proved enough for Osasuna to claim all 3pts. The game ended on a sour note for the home side when deep into stoppage time Oscar Rodriguez was handed his marching orders for a straight red card offence.

The recent head to head record between the two clubs as well as the performances of both teams at home and on the road this season. Osasuna have won four of their last seven matches against Leganes, including each of their last three home games, and the visitors’ last win against Saturday’s hosts arrived 4-years ago.

The hosts have won five times at home this season while Leganes have lost eight of their 15 matches on the road and have so far only claimed one win on their travels. The visitors average 0.60 points per away game and only score an average of 0.60 goals on the road, while Osasuna score an average of 1.33 goals per home game.

Osasuna have won four of their last seven matches against Leganes. Leganes have lost eight of their 15 away games. Osasuna have kept clean sheets in 33% of their home games Leganes have failed to score in 53% of their away games.

Saturday’s hosts sit 3rd in the La Liga table following a 1-0 win away at Levante on Tuesday evening, while Alaves occupy 13th position after their 1-0 home defeat to Celta Vigo on Wednesday. Atletico have a very good recent record against Alaves and head into the game as the form favourites, with four wins and two draws from their last six matches, and are being backed by the bookmakers to win this weekend.

The last time these two sides met the game ended all square at one goal apiece with Morata opening the scoring in the 70th minute for the visitors and Perez equalising seven minutes from time to rescue a point for Alaves. Atletico sit 20pts and ten places above Alaves heading into Saturday’s clash and have won four of their last six league games.

Atletico have won nine of their 15 away games this season while Alaves have lost ten of their 15 away trips. The hosts have also kept clean sheets in 53% of their home matches so far this season and the visitors have failed to score in 40% of their games on the road.

Atletico have won four of their last five matches against Alaves and have kept clean sheets in five of their last six meetings with Saturday’s guests, so you can see just why we have backed a win-to-nil this weekend.

Atletico have won four of their last five matches against Alaves. The hosts have won nine of their 15 home games this season. The visitors have lost 10 of their 15 away games this season. Atletico have kept clean sheets in 53% of their home games this season.
