KAMPALA – It has been one hell of an off season for Disan Ggaliwango, already.
The Express FC skipper has been consistently linked with a move away from Wankulukuku, prompting him to come out at one point and assert that he was not leaving.
After a failed move to KCCA FC in May and a photo with Wakiso Giants FC owner Musa ‘Atagenda’ Ssebulime which fueled links to the Purple Sharks, now the left-back is strongly linked to Vipers SC.
According to Kawowo Sports, Ggaliwango has agreed a move to Kitende after finalizing talks with the reigning Uganda Premier League champions.
This comes after it is understood that Ggaliwango failed to accept a contract extension at Express FC even after meeting the Red Eagles Chairperson Kiryowa Kiwanuka.
If Ggaliwango indeed departs, it will be a massive blow for Express who are in the process of building a team that will ‘compete for trophies’ in the next few years.
They have just handed head coach Wasswa Bbosa a three year deal and also let go of 18 players who were deemed surplus to requirements.
For Vipers, it would be a massive signing as they are also trying to build a team that will compete on the continent.
With Aziz Kayondo and Farouk Musisi already that the club, Ggaliwnago would bring stiff and healthy competition at left-back for the Venoms.
Last season, he managed a respectable five goals for Express FC and added four assists to his name.
