Tooro United FC are currently enduring their worst campaign in the top flight. since promotion in 2013.
The Car Dealers who were promoted from the Big League in 2013, are bottom of the Uganda Premier League with just five games to play.
As if that is not all, Tooro United FC are also without a head coach at the moment after parting ways with Muhammad Kiseka in March.
Kiseka was the third head coach to leave the club this season following the departures of Wasswa Bbosa and Eric Ndifuna earlier.
Sources close to the club have exclusively disclosed to PML Daily that Angelo Lonyesi and David Yiga are set to be unveiled as the new head and assistant coaches respectively.
The duo who are closely affiliated to another Uganda Premier League side, Police FC will be officially unveiled in the coming weeks.
Lonyesi has on more than one occasion headed the technical team at the Cops with his most recent tenure coming before the appointment of current head coach Abdallah Mubiru.
Lonyesi’s last role was at Kansai Plascon where he was sacked last November.
For Yiga, he was captain of the Police FC side that won their only league title in 2005.
The duo will be tasked with trying to save Tooro United FC from relegation as the side sits three points adrift of safety.
It is understood that they will remain in charge even if Tooro United is relegated to the Big League, a scenario that is most likely to happen duo to the lack of motivation currently at the club.
The Car Dealers’ final five games of the season see them at home to Vipers SC and Bright Stars FC while they travel to Mbarara City FC, Busoga United FC and BUL FC.
