The Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) has postponed two regional tournaments due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The U18 tourney was initially scheduled to be played in Kampala between June 1st and 6th.

For the Women clubs championship, it was slatted to tip off in three months time, in October.

This was confirmed through a document released by the Federation on May 11, 2020.

FUBA noted that the two zone V activities have been postponed ‘until advised by FIBA Africa regional offices’.

The Federation’s claims that the position has been reached by the FIBA Zone V board in line with the FIBA circular No’s 24 and 25 dated March 23 and 31, respectively.

“The Federation encourages you to stay safe and continue following the Ministry of Health guidelines during the global health period,” closed the statement signed by FUBA Marketing, Media and Publicity President, Anorld Katabi.
