Tooro United FC woes this season continued as they lost 1-0 at home to SC Villa on Saturday.
Starting the day at the bottom of the standings, Muhammad Kiseka’s side were helpless on the day as they sank to a Faizo Muwawu first half strike.
Muwawu who has struggled for goals this season, netted what proved to be the winner on 39 minutes, poking home a David Owori assist.
This is Tooro’s 15th defeat of the season already and it sums up what has been a troubled campaign so far.
The Car Dealers are currently under their third coach after the departures of both Wasswa Bbosa and Eric Ndifuna (interim).
Tooro sits bottom of the log with 22 points from 25 games.
For Villa, they remain third on the standings with 46 points, four behind second placed KCCA FC and eight off leaders Vipers SC.
As Tooro are struggling, Villa continue to impress and on Saturday, they registered their 13 victory of the 2019/20 season. Only KCCA FC (15) and Vipers (16) have won more games this season.
In their next fixtures, Villa hosts KCCA FC on May 5 while Tooro are away to Mbarara City FC the following day.
