Uganda Cup – Round of 16
Doves 0-1 KCCA FC
Katushabe Stadium, Masindi
Thursday, 12-03-2020

KCCA FC became the first club to reach the Uganda Cup last 8 following a 1-0 victory over Doves on Thursday.

In the game played in Masindi, forward Sadat Anaku netted the only goal in the opening half.

Anaku who has struggled for fitness throughout the campaign, headed off a rebound after Saddam Juma’s cross was fumbled by Al-Yesir in the Dove goal.

It is a welcome victory for the Kasasiros who went into the game with several first team players injured.

Their day’s task was made a whole lot easier in the second half as Doves’ Ivan Businge was sent off on 65 minutes.

Before the round of 16 Doves FC had ejected Water FC at the round of 32 while KCCA FC eliminated Bukedea town council.

KCCA FC are joint Uganda cup league record holders with Express FC having won it on 10 previous occasions.
