Uganda Cup – Round of 32
Bright Stars FC vs Free Stars FC
Kavumba Recreation Grounds, Wakiso
Friday, 14-02-2020 @4pm

Bright Stars FC will be hoping to reach the Uganda Cup round of 16 when they host Free Stars at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Friday afternoon.

The Stars have been one of the in-form side in the country since the turn of the year.

In the 7 games they have played in the period across all competitions, they have won five, drawn one and lost just once.

This form coincides with the appointment of Paul Kiwanuka as head coach back in November

Despite losing his opening fixture 0-1 against Police FC on November 15, Kiwanuka looks to have steadily solved Bright Stars’ immediate issue of not winning enough.

Having spent the entire first round of the Uganda Premier League season in the bottom three, Bright Stars are now in 12th, two points away from the relegation zone.

The acquisitions of winger Muwadda Mawejje and defender Bernard Muwanga have also been integral to the team.

To reach this stage, Bright Stars defeated Koboko Raising Stars 1-0 away from home in the round of 64.

For Free Stars, they bossed Saviour 2-0 at home in the previous round.

The other games to be played on Friday @4pm

-Mbarara City FC vs FHL FC
-Dove FC vs Water FC

Thursday’s result

-UPDF FC 2-1 Busia Young
