MENGO – There will be three all-Uganda Premier League fixtures in the Uganda Cup round of 16.
This was confirmed on Wednesday as the draws were conducted at FUFA House in Mengo.
Nine-time winners SC Villa have been drawn to face fellow UPL side Mbarara City FC at home.
The second pits Kyetume FC against Maroons FC with the UPL debutants at home while the third all-top flight fixtures will see URA FC hosting Wakiso Giants FC.
Record winners KCCA FC have been drawn to face Big League side Dove FC while Tooro United are at home to Kitara FC.
Free Stars, the only side playing outside both the Uganda Premier League and Big League-remaining, will face a difficult away trip to Kataka FC.
Proline FC are the defending champions of the competition having defeated Bright Stars on penalties in last year’s final.
KCCA FC and Express are the record winners of the competition having won it on 10 previous occasions each.
